Who am I?
I have been very fortunate to grow up inspired by two cultures with an Indian father and an Austrian mother. Although we used to live in England, my father put great emphasis on Indian tradition and family. My mother strongly encouraged the individuality of each of her four children. It was part of our family life that my mother dedicated some of her time to her Hatha Yoga practice every day. Very early on I sensed how YOGA combined eastern and western culture in a stimulating way. I started to be curious. At sixteen I received, after my own request, my first yoga lesson taught by my mother. Soon I discovered the positive effects on my body. I practised to stay slim and flexible. Years later and with the power of self-discipline I learned about the true dimension of YOGA. The profound impact of a daily practice made my mind quiet, spirit-centred, and my life began to change fundamentally. I became open.
Today YOGA is my life.
